Subject: Re: Shortcut file
Precedence: bulk
========================================================================
Will there be only one global file, or one file per application? Using
one file for 'normal' shortcuts (Open, Quit etc etc) would be useful,
and the application-specific file could have extra information in it
for that app only, like license keys, or any settings information that
is needed.
========================================================================
I thought it would be one file, with the format :
appname:action:key
With various extensions where key could be some other variable for things
taht aren't key-short-cuts. Wildcards are valid, so global keys would
be done with '*', as in :
*:Open:^O
As to where to put it, no one has even agreed to the above. They are
still arguing about ^A and trying to vote on it. Damn stupid to vote
on ^A when you can configure it instead.
